Now, I'll be the first to admit. I was not always the best about taking care of my skin (oh how I took my 20's for granted) but over the last few years I've really tried to be diligent on washing my face, removing my makeup and clearly love anything that is anti-wrinkle, anti-aging, and anti-blemish. Recently, I've been asked what I do for my skin so here are the main 4 things I use and do on a regular:

1.) I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Clarisonic Mia 2. This is hands down - my number 1! I received this as a gift a few years ago, and it is life changing! Exfoliation is key, and for the 1 minute is takes to scrub your face is it worth EVERY penny! This magical brush leaves my face smooth, bright and blemish free! There are brushes for all skin types - so you can find the one that works best for you! (Take Advantage - their SUMMER Sale is going on NOW!)
2.) HYDRATE. Sounds easy right? What you put into your body is just as important as scrubbing it! In all REAL TALK this one is most challenging for me some days, but staying hydrated is so important not just for daily functioning but for your skin! You really want to strive for 75+oz per day, and if you don't believe me, I ask you just to try and see how your skin reacts! Your skin will not only look better, but you will FEEL better too! Remember, your H2O consumption comes not only from what you drink, but what you eat! So pile on those fruits & veggies!! As far as consistency goes, I find that keeping a fun water bottle around at all times helps me to drink more H2O! There are many out there, so take your pick! Cheers and drink up!
3.) FACE MASKS. I love them! They are not an everyday thing - once a week is great, but I do think they work. I've tried them all from clay, to the paper masks, to ones with gold flecks in them! As far as which one to buy - start by finding one for your skin type or go for a clay mask! I was lucky to receive this variety pack from Kiehl's as a gift - it has everything from hydrating, purifying, soothing to anti-aging! This way I can play and find what works best! I have to get on my game for consistency w/ the anti-aging one as this is to be used 5 times per week, however the clay purifying mask is fantastic! Especially after a week of working in sweat - it is easy to put on, very little mess, little time and it leaves your skin glowing!
4.) JADE ROLLING. This is something totally new to me, and over the last 2 months I've really gotten into the groove with this! Skin care is more than just going through the motions of washing your face. As I try to get Lil Avocado into a nighttime routine, I've been trying to get myself into one as well. After reading about the benefits of Jade Rolling, and seeing those buzzworthy videos, I decided I needed this lovely green apparatus in my life.
Is it really Anti-Aging? Do I see a difference?
That will be for you to judge. What I can say is that I find it to be incredibly relaxing (actually one of the things that sold me on it, was watching a video and thinking to myself "that looks delightful" - and it is!). The rolling and coolness of the stone feels great, and it does aid in relieving puffiness and improving circulation, giving you a "natural glow". I may categorize this into overall self-care - at the end of the day, it gives me sometime to just relax for a few mins and not think. Let's just call it a form of meditation.....
