Roasted Chickpeas

Hello.  My name is Stephenie and I love salty savory munchy things!  ALL of the salty, savory, munchy things!  Obviously, chips are a favorite but it's not something to go to all the time (as cookie monster would say it's a "sometimes food").  Which is why I truly love this crispy, crunchy easy to make snack w/ the ever popular CHICKPEA!  Full of fiber and protein - I can get my Munch on and still keep it healthy!  

What is fun about this snack is that the world is your oyster when it comes to flavor!!!  You can keep it simple with some sea salt, get spicy with some turmeric, cumin, chilli powder and cayeene, or go in a sweet direction with some cinnamon!  It's truly up to you!

All you need is a can of Chickpeas, spices of your choice, a bowl, Olive oil or my personal fave Avocado oil (Not just because I have a love affair with Avocado - *Avocado oil can take the high heat - up to 500 degrees!  and is neutral tasting. So it is a great option especially when it comes to roasting!).

This recipe is nothing new -  most simply:
Preheat oven to 425/450
Rinse chickpeas and blot
Add oil, chickpeas & spices
Spread onto Baking Sheet
Cook approx 30 mins or until chickpeas are browned and crispy
Let cool (serve warm/room temp - you can save extra in an air tight container , just be sure to let them cool fully before doing so - the chickpeas should last a couple of days!)
